It all started on the water. On October 1, 2018, a simple fishing trip turned into a moment that changed both of our lives. What should have been an ordinary day became the beginning of something God had already prepared. One conversation, one spark, one unexpected connection, and we felt something neither of us could explain.
Over the last six years, that moment on the boat grew into a love that is steady, joyful, and covered by God’s grace. We have laughed together, prayed together, supported each other through every season, and built a life filled with faith, music, good food, and unforgettable memories. We have become each other’s home.
But what makes our story even more special is how God used our relationship to bring us both closer to Him. When we met, he was deeply rooted in the church, serving, worshipping, and walking in his calling. She grew up in the church, but like many of us, drifted as life changed and adulthood set in. Through his love, consistency, and the way he lived his faith, he helped lead her back. After visiting his church a few times, she joined, found her place, and has been there ever since, growing, serving, and loving every moment of it.
Together, we have learned that love is sweetest when God is at the center. That joy is deeper when you share the same foundation. And that the right person will not just love you, but help you grow.
On February 14, 2026, at Audi Field in Washington, DC, surrounded by our family, friends, and church family, we will step into the next chapter of this story. The one God has been preparing us for all along.
